The Blog

The water didn't get warmer...

I got more bold
and more careless of cold
- Stephan Stubbins
I face the pesky problem
and send it to my head

To find the answer hiding
in my heart instead
- Stephan Stubbins
In a world of
do you love me?
Be the answer
...yes
- Stephan Stubbins
Compared to you
I tried and grew
a niche of my potential

I let you go
and now I grow
in networks exponential
- Stephan Stubbins
Know the prize is there

...but don't stare

Built upon the losses
of all we tried and failed
The loss turned into learning
and that’s how we prevailed

I’ve made the mistake
and suffered the price
Now let the guilt go
or pay for it twice

Persist through the droughts
Move forward and know
Where dry desert ends
Green grasses grow

Has a book ever stopped you in your tracks and changed the direction of your thoughts thereafter? One mind-changing moment for me came from the book…

Looking back at the loss
While wearing the bruise
Am I victim or hero
…with my actions I choose

Either conform
into what you can see
Or transform
into what you can be

Feedback is a diamond
freshly from the earth
Hard to see the sparkle
in that state
Yet polish off the edges…

Grasping for love
propels it away
Giving with love
attracts it to stay
